How long does a consultation last?
The first consultation can last up to one and a half hours, a review consultation takes up to one hour.
What happens during a consultation?
During a consultation I am interested to learn as much as I can about you and how you are experiencing your symptoms.
So we will talk about you, your symptoms and how you are in yourself. I will also ask about your medical history and your family medical history, so that I can have as full a picture of you as I can.
Can I talk to you between consultations?
Yes, you can contact me when you have a worry or concern that needs to be talked over before your next appointment.
If I can't talk to you straight away I will always get back to you as soon as I can.
Sometimes, if you need a lot of help between consultations, it may be better for you to come back for a review earlier than we had planned.
How often do I need to come to see you?
Generally I see patients once a month. Sometimes it is necessary to see people more often to help them with particular concerns.
